He'll work harder to get back to normal, that way. If he were content to lie in bed and let them work on him, his healing and recovery would be much slower. I know it's hard to deal with, and sometimes just plain unpleasant, but the frustration is a gift as well as the pain. (When we get to heaven, we can ask God about his choice in gifts!)

Speaking of pain, I'm so glad to see that his pain is better. That alone will help his frustration!

I'm still praying for all of you.

CynthiaCynthia Batemannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-166301637882381100.post-22080962310098132602010-05-05T19:50:42.681-07:002010-05-05T19:50:42.681-07:00Hi Randy and Janice,
Just learned about your blog ...Hi Randy and Janice,
Just learned about your blog spot a few days ago, and it is so nice to know what is going on. My hearts go out to you!!! We will continue to hold you all up in our prayers. I know the difference prayer makes, when Michael was 2 weeks in Harborview back in 1999 the prayers moved mountains for us, and kept pain bearable. You are such a Woman of Faith!! I am learning to know you better through this. If we can do anything, be sure to ask. We look forward to having you home again!! In God's perfect timing though. Our maiden name was Holmes.

I just ran across this and I am so grateful that your son's spine and brain are okay, and so sorry for all that you and he are enduring. We've done the airlift/Harborview/ICU experience. and it is a hard one.

This article is late, but it still may help your other readers find ways to bless and support you during this time. I wrote it after my Dad got seriously hurt: How to Support a Family with a Medical Emergency that lands them in I.C.U.

May the Lord's mercy and grace continue to be poured out upon your family each and every day.

SuzanneSuzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04606454923510883186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-166301637882381100.post-84580769171600034792010-05-05T17:15:45.597-07:002010-05-05T17:15:45.597-07:00woo-hoo! His little buddy wants to see him so bad. I told him he had to wait until Nay-Nay made it home. Hope Nathan's up to some cartoons with a 4-1/2 year old! :)

Keep working hard Nathan! It's going to be tough at times but you can do this! We love you and will continue praying!!Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00536915893361479104noreply@blogger.com
