One month from today we take Brandon to college! He is sooooo ready to go and I am excited for him, but as I sit here and type I am honestly tearing up!
Brandon is so easy to love (as you can see :-)..........................
and everyone loves him! He is so easy going and loves to please. He will run any errand for me, including driving his 14 yr. old sister around. He even offers!!
Time to start figuring what he needs for clothes and such. We have the bedding, the laptop, the small fridge, and microwave (the important things), now we just needs towels, etc. If you have any tips for what he might need let me know, I'm new at this!
This month is jam-packed crazy which is good and bad. Good because it will keep my mind off the countdown (kind of :-{ ) and bad because it will make it go so fast!

Can't believe he leaves in a month. We are going to miss him. Ethan loves to see Brandon at church.
You know...they really need a check-off list for college like the kids get for school each year. That would be great for incoming college students.
We are leaving for Beachwood on Monday and will be out there most of the week. Jason has all week off and I'm not taking any extra kids. So, we don't really have anything set in stone. Just doing what we want to do.
My boys would say to get dark towels...It's harder for other people to see how long it's been since you washed them...:D
Also, must have 2 LARGE cereal bowls for when you make your own meals...
Have fun getting ready...and don't feel bad for the teariness...I recommend a good long cry on the way home. It cleanses the soul, and makes one ready for the new normal...Best wishes, dear, as you watch one hop out of the nest.
Is he in an off campus apt. or staying in the dorms? Don't forget hangers for his closet! Laundry supplies and quarters :D Any type of kitchen supplies the kids take with them be sure they are not important to return home. They break, get "borrowed", etc. When my son lived in an off-campus apt. he LOVED having the small George Forman grill to cook on.
And Mom, don't forget to take that pic of him walking away carrying things to his dorm. It's one of my most precious pictures for me. I even blogged about it. It stays in your heart forever!

{{{HUGS}}} my friend.
All t-shirts and towels and underwear should be in the blue family because most likely everything will get washed with his jeans. Send a roll of quarters.
Laundry aside, he just needs common sense, confidence, and Jesus. You probably already help with those...
