Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Ok, here's the recipe for the muffins (aka: cupcakes :-)! I got this recipe off Tanya Silves' blog, so I must give credit where credit is due!! These are awesome and I got 30 muffins out of my batch. My kids have been eatin' them up, and I've had one or two (at a time :-) also!

PUMPKIN CREAM CHEESE MUFFINS

3 c. Flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ground cloves
4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice (I didn't have any so I just beefed up the other spice amounts)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. pumpkin
1 1/4 c. vegetable oil

Filling:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt

Mix sugar, eggs, pumpkin and oil well. Then add remaining ingredients (except for the filling ingregdients) and mix well.

Grease Muffin tins or line with paper cups and fill them half full.

Mix filling ingredients and place on top of each muffin. Bake 25 min., or until toothpick inserted in pumpkin part of muffin (avoid cream cheese) comes out clean.

NUMMY!!!!!

I realize this is not a stampin' related post - EXCEPT - one must have good food to scrapbook or stamp with!!

Card Samples coming tomorrow!

Perpetual calendar class fun...............

I actually remembered to take a couple pictures at the Perpetual Calendar class. We had fun and they all completed their projects.

They were getting a little tired towards the end of the night.............................:-)

And of course, the best part.............goodies!

I got this awesome recipe off my friends blog (thanks Tanya Lynn). They are Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffins, and Yes, they are as good as they look!! I will post the recipe for the muffins tomorrow! (They actually should probably be called cupcakes, but since they're muffins - they're healthier!!) They are so moist and could anything with cream cheese be bad?

Tomorrow night I will be stamping, so I will get some stamping projects posted ASAP!

Thanks for your patience in the lack of samples - with being gone 2 different times this month, my life 'sponsibilities are catching up to me :-{! (It's 11:15pm and I'm listening to the washer and dryer both working hard)!

Home Sweet Home!!

Well here I am, a week after my last post! Randy and I just got home last night about 9pm and now I am waiting for Horizon airlines to have my suitcases delivered (don't you love it:-)! We spent 5 relaxing days in Destin, Florida.

I have never seen sand like this - not even in the Caribbean - honestly - like powdered sugar!!

The weather was beautiful the first 4 days, but our last day it rained sideways! Wow - I know we get a lot of rain, but in Florida when it rains........it RAINS!! I spent all day wishing I had a few scrapbooking supplies with me. I could've taken my little picture printer, paper cutter, adhesive, cardstock and gotten the pictures that I'd taken on vacation scrapbooked. Would that have been awesome or what! Just do some page layouts and then embellish them at home............but I didn't expect to spend a whole day sitting in a condo, so I watched more t.v. in that day than I've watched in months!!

This was our chariot for 2 days - you should've seen us on Thursday in the pouring rain with the sides zipped down whipping along in the pouring rain! I'm sure all the Floridians thought........."tourists"!!

The rain let up a little, so we carted out to the beach and took a picture. One of my husband's favorite boating phrases is "the sea was angry that day my friends" :-) so guess what the title will be on this layout?!

Today, I've mopped, dusted, laundry, dishes, etc. and this evening Randy and the kids are all busy, so I will begin putting together the Perpetual Calendar kits. I have enough extra supplies to make 1 or 2 more, so if you still want in.....just let me know! Tuesday evening (the 28th) at 7pm, $25. Bring your own adhesive and paper cutter.

I'll get some cards made for our Stamp Club next month which we decided is Thurs. Nov. 13th. - still not to late to join us!!

The Simply Scrappin' Christmas Card class is going to be Mon. Nov. 24th, and I will start getting some samples made for that too............I'd better get busy!!

They came, they stamped, they left......................

We were having so much fun last night......................the embossing powder and glitter were flying, the crimper was crimping, the punches were punching, the ladies were munching (kinda sounds like Dr. Suess huh?)......we were having so much fun - I FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES! I was cleaning up after everyone left (while I snacked on leftover butterfingers and jr. mints - whoever called those mini things "fun size" hasn't lived :-) and it hit me - I didn't take pictures for my faithful bloggers.

So here's what you get today! LEFTOVERS!!!!

Station #1 This was the hard card so the chocolate was here to reward you when you were done!Station#2 This was the card made with the Upsy Daisy set.

Station#3 This was the 3x3 card with the Say It With Scallops set.

Next month I'll try my best to remember to get the ladies in action! I'm sure you can spot them if you run into them somewhere...................they'll have glitter on their faces!! :-)

More Kitties and Calendars.........................

Here is the calendar all assembled and sitting here just like it could be sitting on your desk!! Yes, I know you've seen the month of January already - but it looked so pretty against my blue wall for a picture. I don't plan on showing every month. You'll just have to sign up for the class and make all 12 pages!

REMEMBER!!!!! Email or call me by noon on Sat. the 18th to sign up for this perpetual calendar class (see info on previous post). I only have a few spots left as I am only allowing 8 for this class.

Now on to kitties and MAX. Poor dog - half the time he's afraid of them, and the other half mothering them. As you can see they've all adjusted - and now, the kitties are going to the shop! Emily's sure we'll change our mind, but mommies eyes have been watering and getting all nice and red when I snuggle the kitties :-{!

Today, I got to scrapbook, sort pictures (which I hateto do , but I love to do it when I have friends to visit with to make the chore bearable), and stamp label cards for the baskets in my laundry room. I feel like I got so many things crossed of my list, and I spent a great day with two of my BFF's! Thanks Kathi and Marla!! We'll make up for the lack of candy and chocolate another time! :-)

Tomorrow is Stamp Club so I will post pictures of our fun night on Friday!

Perpetual Calendar Stamp Camp Info

Well - I finished it!!! The Perpetual Calendar is done and I have all the class details.

WHAT: Perpetual Calendar (A calendar with no days of the week that helps you keep track of special events from year to year)
COST: $25 -All supplies are included, just bring adhesive and paper cutter!

Please RSVP to me no later than noon on Sat. the 18th as I need to get supplies ordered so I can have everything prepped and ready for you! Get someone to sign up with you and get a gift from me! My class limit for this class is 8, but I will consider doing it again if I get enough to do another class.

Here is the month of May - sorry it's kind of dark, but I think you get the idea.
This project is made on thick chipboard and has rings that hold it together at the top. You can stand it up on your counter or desk, or you can add ribbon and hang it! It's a great gift-if you can stand to part with it- just make some birthday cards to go with it and your gift it complete!!

3rd Stamp Camp Card (and kitties...... )

Sorry for the absence. We left for Whistler on Wednesday with our kids (and their friends) and got back late last night. The weather was beautiful, the leaves were changing and the colors were vivid, our good friends Jeff & Kathi (& Wyatt too) were up at their condo, so we spent time with them. Kathi and I even made some cards and scrapbooked for a day!

Here's Randy and I by the creek. It was absolutely gorgeous - yes I know - HE is too!!

I obviously didn't finish the last couple months of the calendar, but am working on it now.....I PROMISE to get another sample posted and the price set by tomorrow evening for the perpetual calendar class!

For now, here is the 3rd card that the Stamp Club ladies get to make this Thursday evening!

This is a 3x3 card using the new Bella Rose DSP (pg 168), Old Olive CS (pg 164), Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon -I know it looks kind of brown, but I took the picture at night and I couldn't get it to take the coloring right, it does match perfectly(pg 186), Say It With Scallops Stamp set (pg 125 - this is the set that SU! donates $2 from each sale to The Ronald McDonald House), 1/16" hole punch, and Scallop Square Punch (pg 188).

I know this post is getting long, but Miss Emily Claire got her 2 kitties today...................
Who can resist something sooooo cute! These little sweeties were brought home to live in the shop to keep mice away. But today, Emily just had to sit and hold them all day........and I mean ALL DAY! :-)

A sample for you.................

Well, I finally got going on the perpetual calendar. I intended to have this done a week ago.........................but -you know how that goes!! I am still finishing some of the months, so I don't have my costs together yet, but I hope (good intentions again) to get it done tonight and get the price figured out.

Here is January. I used a blue and white felt snowflake from the new package of felt snowflakes in Stampin' UP!'s Holiday Mini Catalog! Cuteness!

Here is February. You can't tell, but I used crystal effects on the heart and it's raised and glossy, it's like epoxy stickers!

I have set the date for the Perpetual Calendar class for Tuesday, October 28th @ 7PM. I am asking that you RSVP to me no later than Sat. October 18th. My last class I let people sign up until 1 week before and I was sweating it out as the supplies for the class showed up the night before! So this time I'm giving myself a little longer to get it ordered and here! I'll post the details again with the cost by tomorrow afternoon! Check your calendars for now.........

So now I must make dinner so I can get in my stamp room and finish this baby up! This is such a fun project - I can't wait to get it done!!

When it rains..............

Well I believe fall has FALLEN! Wow - I'm sitting at my computer hoping the furniture on my back patio doesn't come through the window!! But - what a great day to sit inside and stamp or scrap! I don't know about you, but this weather totally get's me in the mood to stamp, scrap, bake, drink coffee, etc. I decided to make a Christmas card today out of products from the new holiday mini catalog! I know I still need to get a sample ready for the perpetual calendar for the October class, and I need to create and post the 3rd project for the stamp club ladies this month, but I have all these brand new goodies sitting in my office calling my name....................

Isn't this adorable? I must admit I did CASE the idea (copy and stamp everything) from another demonstrator, but I did change it up a little. I used the Snow Swirled set (pg 32 catalog) with the Versamark pad for the background on the Choc Chip CS and Choc chip ink for the greeting, the new pack of Designer Series Paper "Ski Slope" (pg 12 Mini Catalog), Brown felt ribbon w/stiched edge (pg23 Mini Catalog), Little Felt Flurries (snowflake pg 18 Mini Catalog), and Antique Brass Build-A-Brad (pg. 185 Catalog).

Maybe this will inspire you to get creative or think about Christmas cards. Sometimes the thought of making all those Christmas cards is overwhelming, so what I've been doing is starting earlier and making 20 of several different designs. This way I can often use up supplies I have without needing enough for 100 and I don't get burned out doing the same thing over and over and over and over (you get the idea :-)

Enjoy your weekend! I love fall....................!
