Dr. Rout was right!

For those of you that have been following the blog throughout Nathan's motorcycle accident and on through his healing process - I have a little update for you!

After one of Nathan's surgeries we met with the surgeon afterwards, Dr. Rout.  We asked him to give us a prognosis, and he told us he thought Nathan would be skiing by this winter.  I think we both probably dropped our jaws at that point considering how broken our boy was!

Well, on Wednesday, NATHAN WENT SKIING!  He called me at 10:30 and said he had just skied down North Face, and it wasn't groomed and he said he did fine.  He said he definitely could tell that his left leg was weaker (you think?), but it felt great to be skiing again.

When he got home he called me again and told me that he had fallen twice, the first time he was pretty scared going down, but he survived and I think it even made him more confident. It felt great for him to do something again that he LOVES to do!

I'm hoping for some pics of actual skiing down the slopes, but I couldn't wait any longer to give you the news!!

7 months ago, I would've NEVER believed that I would be writing about this!  God is the ultimate healer and giver of grace and mercy in our son's life!
