Friday night, Ken and Sal came for dinner and we drove around and looked at lights while we sipped white choc./peppermint lattes............................they are precious friends of ours!
Saturday Kim and Becky came by to work on a project and Kim helped me spruce up my tree! Thanks Kim - it was looking so pitiful.......................much betta'!!
Saturday night the Jansens and Raskes came for dinner. Dan made superb ribs, Jeff made divine appetizers, Kathi made an apple pie with a twist, the night was relaxing and the only thing missing were Brian and Judy:-{!!!!
Today my friend Kari was at church. She and her family have moved to Montana and it was SO good to see her. Kari is like my daughter - I love her so much!! She gave me a special necklace that has a charm that says "God Bless You" on it(she has one on in the picture. She said some very sweet words to me - this picture was after the tears!! Thank you Lord for Kari!

Tonight we had the College Age Christ Group over for dessert. It was a wild and crazy - insanely fun - party. Pictures to follow............................

This is the coolest thing ever. Some people may not be able to appreciate what a legacy this is that you are doing. Your bread recipe and the pictures to go along with it...your beautiful ability to decorate like no other Mother. I may just become a blogger. What you didn't say..you shy turkey is that I gave you that necklace because you sat with me at my kitchen table years 9 years ago in November and you led me to the Lord. My life didn't become all roses and sugarplums afterwards..due to my own free will..and I fell hard and would get back up and would fall again. One thing remained the same..your love for me and continued prayers even if it was from afar. I know I hurt you at times and you could only trust in the fact that God doesn't let go of his children and I would return one day. The Holy Spirit always brought me to my knees and in my heart I knew my life was nothing without Jesus Christ. Your Husband taught me the difference between saying sorry and repenting. You taught me that when you make mistakes..God is there waiting and to forgive you and welcome you back. You also taught me to take pride in my home and teach my children respect by saying "yes Mom." Ultimately, when I had had enough of running from my Lord and Savior, I repented like Randy taught me, even though he couldn't see it and I returned to the values and gift of salvation you led me to at my kitchen table 9 years ago by saying "Yes Mom, I'm not going to run anymore" even though you couldn't hear me. Thank you for being a light to me when I was addicted to darkness and no matter what, loving me unconditionally as Christ loves all of us. I have not ran away from anything in over 3 years now and all I have to remember about those days is that I never want to be back there again. Not only did I have the emptiness inside of me by not being spiritually fed..I was empty without you. You are my Louis (nobody is going to get that but Tanya..hehe), you are a wonderful Mother figure (cuz I'm like soooo much younger than you) and you're the reason I fully understand what Christmas and Easter truly mean. I still have the plaque you gave me and it says.."May you never lose sight of how far God has taken you." I didn't know then what it would mean to me now. I love you Janice. God Bless You!
