Update - Sat 4/24 12:45PM

We just met with the Surgeon and he says things went well - all things considered. They put a titanium rod in his femur and he is missing about 2 inches of his femur, they are hoping the bone will grow back.

They decided not to fix anything else because they wanted to stabilize him again, and let the leg start healing. At this point pray that he will not get an infection in this area.

We should be able to see him in the next little bit. Pray for this weepy mommy - feeling rather weak and depleted.

We will update again. PRAY PRAY PRAY - God is good - ALL the time - through the darkest valley His light still shines...........

Janice, it has been a while since I have seen you or the rest of the family, except Nathan. I see him every now and then when I am home from school. I just heard about the accident from Jamie and was told about this blog. I was recently in a snowboarding accident and broke my knee, but I know what he is going through and what you are going through. It is a long long, rough road to recovery, but everything will be fine. Best wishes and recovery to Nathan and the rest of the family.
Sincerely, Clay Pehl

This is one of a parent's biggest fears...we will pray for Nathan every day many times, also for all of the rest of you as you sit, wait, pray, drive, juggle life and just try to deal with all the unexpected events. Will you let us know how we can help? Kaylene, Bill and girls.
