He says "thank you"

Nathan asked "how much longer"..............

I told him that this afternoon it looks like we're going down to a "normal" room and we're leaving ICU and in about a week I get to bring you home.

He looked at me and said "thank you" - :-) , oh - I love that boy!

I'm a bit nervous about them moving him - that means I'm on mom duty full time. His nurse yesterday, Marnell (who I fell in love with - spunky lady, hmm wonder why I liked her) told me that when he gets moved, that we're going to want to stay with him and make sure he's taken care of and that he learns to ask for pain medicine BEFORE he hits his threshold,

Lamentations 3:21-23 "Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."

PS If I could ask for prayer for myself today - I have a horrid headache and a jaw that is hurting - no pain in comparison to Nathan's, but a bit distracting.

Janice,
I am praying for Nathan and really appreciate your updates. Moving out of ICU is a very huge step and also a very positive one. God will be taking care of him no matter where he is. I am so confident that He has provided amazing care and will continue to do so. Know that your whole family is being lifted up in prayer also. Extra prayers for you to feel better and for strength and encouragement every minute. You are an incredible Mom. Hugs from me to you.
Love,
Maria W.

The stress is manifesting itself...prayed for you the minute I read this. Hope you're feeling better.

What great news for Nathan! It's amazing how quickly healing takes place. Praying for a smooth transition for both of you. Is he all done with surgeries for now?

Loving all the updates. Wish I were there.

1 Peter 5:10 "In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation." Hope that is some encouragement to you and yours today! I'm so happy he's awake and chatting!
